Description

Our non wrap swing hangers have been redesigned with a smoother top to better meet protrusion regulations. 2 3/8" O.D. these non wrap hangers help prevent swing chain from getting caught on top of swing sets and wrapping around the pipe. This is a safety issue that helps keep the stress from the chain and fasteners, and keeps the motion on the swing hanger, where it belongs. It helps the chain and fasteners from being worn prematurely from friction. These hangers can replace regular swing hangers without dismantling a swing set. They are made of 45C steel and a plastic sleeve. This hanger fits a 2" pipe.

Installation:

Hangers should be spaced 2 ft from the end of the set and 2 ft a part for each swing. Remove H-shackle by using a wrench with a pin hole to remove the tamper resistant bolt. Open the swing hanger into half. Remove the plastic collar. Match up alignment tabs. Make sure that both halves are aligned. Drill 4 - #8 holes into pipe where you wish the swing hanger to be placed. Screw 1 - #12 self tapping screw into the plastic insert and make sure that the hanger inserts align properly. Then screw in the remaining three screws. Put the steel hanger around the plastic collar and attach the hanger around the plastic sleeve by inserting the H-shackle. Insert the tamper proof bolt using a wrench with a pin hole after putting permanent lock-tite on the bolt threads to prevent it from backing out. Using a grease gun put a sufficient amount of standard grease in the hanger to allow the hanger to swing freely. We have used a McKay Molybdenum Disulfide grease cartridge, but any standard grease cartridge from any auto part store should be sufficient. Use the H175 to open shackle bolt. Slide chain on the bolt and then tighten in the hanger until snug.
