This new patent pending new generation swing is unique to anything now being sold in the playground industry. The dimensions of the seat are 24” x 6” x 5/16” or 28 ¼” hanger to hanger. The hangers are stainless steel. It is made of EPDM rubber over Kevlar. It has a Kevlar insert instead of a steel insert. Kevlar is the same material being used in body armor. It is cut resistant and stronger and lighter than steel. We have tested this swing to 10,000 pounds tensile strength. Kevlar is not sharp if the seat is worn or vandalized. The swing also has stainless steel hangers. If you have a high use, high vandalism area, this is the swing for you. Since it will last so long, it will save you costs overall in labor and replacement swings. Since we believe this swing is so much better than any other in the marketplace, we are offering a five year unconditional guarantee for this swing.
EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer is a synthetic rubber material which helps prevent crazing, cracking and oxidizing. Natural rubber is often made from recycled tires etc., and you are never sure what the actual rubber mixture is. It often wears off on children’s clothes. It cracks and crazes, making the seat unsightly and allowing moisture to get into the seat. This makes the seat deteriorate at a much quicker rate. Our seats are made of EPDM rubber that is made especially for our swing seats. The rubber does not rub off on children’s clothes, and the seats last much longer than natural rubber swings. Unlike seats made of polymer, seats made of EPDM rubber hold up well in extreme temperatures, both very hot and very cold.
Safe Use: This seat is for children 4 – 12 years old only. This swing is intended for use by only one child at a time. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand or kneel on seat or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged. Do not use when wet. Instruct children not to wrap chains around top beam or twist chains. Tell children to watch for children and adults standing, walking or running close to moving swings and to stop swinging to avoid hitting them and causing injury. Tell children to hold chains tightly in each hand while swinging. Tell children not to get off swing until it has stopped completely.
