This tire swivel has 3 prongs to prevent chains from tangling. Our heavy duty commercial tire swivel has a rubber boot to prevent fingers form being pinched. It is for wood swing set frames. It has a plate that is 5 ¾" long and 2 ¾" wide with two 5/8" holes that are 4 ½" center to center. Powder coated in a bright red finish.
Installation:
Place swivel under the beam and attach carriage bolts and nuts snugly. Use correct size carriage bolts for the size of wood and nuts with lock tight and attach snugly. (Bolts and nuts are not included.) You will need to use S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the swivel. Make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.
