This swivel will turn 360 degrees with less tangling or wrapping the chains. Universal joints are covered with a rubber boot for finger protection. Painted with rust proof enamel in red. This also has Two plates that are 5.5" x 5.5" with four 9/16" holes that are 3.5" center to center. Holds up to 5000 lbs.
Installation:
Place top plate on top of wood frame and swivel under the beam. Use correct size carriage bolts for the size of wood and nuts with lock tight and attach snugly. (Bolts and nuts are not included.) You will need to use S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the swivel. Make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.
